President Donald Trump will address the country on Christmas Eve, the White House announced Thursday.
The White House also announced that President Donald J. Trump will attend the annual State of the Union address on the National Mall on Friday morning.
The president will also speak in front of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., at 2 p.m.
The speech will be broadcast live on NBC and ABC.
It was unclear when the address would be broadcast, though a spokesman said the president plans to make the address on Thursday morning.
It is not clear when the speech would be streamed on social media.
Trump has previously used Christmas Eve to criticize former President Barack Obama and his handling of the war in Afghanistan, which he calls a “total and complete disaster.”
He said in an interview with Fox News on Tuesday that he believes that Obama’s handling of Afghanistan will never be fixed.
