A man in the US has died of severe severe asthma.
His death was confirmed by the state of California on Thursday.
The man, named as 31-year-old John Doe, was found unconscious on Thursday evening in his hotel room in the resort town of Chato Villas in California.
His cause of death was “not known,” the Chato Fire Department said.
The California state coroner’s office has been investigating the case, which is not being treated as a homicide.
John Doe is the second death in California this week, after a man died of the condition in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Authorities say the man’s death was not related to the case in Chato.
John D. and Mary Doe were married in 2016, according to the couple’s Facebook page.
Their daughter, 19-year old Tia Doe, is now 18.
John was the first person to die from the condition, which has been described as an asthma attack.
The disease, which can be life-threatening, affects about 1 in 7,000 people in the United States, according the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
